What's New For 2022?
It's still too early to tell what, if anything, will change for the 2022 Mazda CX-9. The previous version of this three-row SUV, still available here in Alexandria, saw some nice upgrades with a larger touchscreen, a new trim level, new looks for the top edition and some other minor changes. We'll be sure to share what's new and exciting for the 2022 edition when we learn more.
Performance and Technology
The current Mazda CX-9 uses a smart and strong turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which tops out at 250 horsepower with 320 pound-feet of torque, when using the recommended premium fuel. We expect that strong and dynamic, and relatively efficient engine to carry over for the 2022 model. An all-wheel drive system is available as well, giving you better traction and control when traversing through tough winter weather.
On the tech front, the new Mazda CX-9 is generously equipped with a large infotainment display screen, smartphone integration and all sorts of other amenities and available options that help you connect from the road. For safety, you'll have a bundle of standard driver aids, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation and blind-spot monitoring.
